  1. Why are you the best choice to treat my problems?
    Not all therapists are the same. The therapists at Wilshire Linden Physical Therapy hold the highest, current credentials available, and utilize a multidisciplinary approach toward your rehabilitation.
  2. How long will it take to recover?
    Other therapists may be vague about the number of visit that it will take to successfully rehabilitate your condition. Not us! While we are not 100% accurate all of the time, our experience and education allow us to provide you with a reasonable estimation of the number of visits it will take to rehabilitate your condition.
  3. What is the best care for my problem?
    Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to offer you a variety of options for your condition. A thorough initial evaluation by our board certified and experienced specialists will ensure that you are receive the appropriate treatment.
  4. What if I want to do my own rehabilitation?
    We understand that you are very busy and for some, independent rehabilitation may be the best choice. Many of our methods are designed not only to help you quickly recover but to prevent the recurrence of future problems. Self treatment may be an option.
  5. Is the therapist a member of his/her professional association?
    All of our therapists are members of the American Physical Therapy Association, the California Physical Therapy Association, and the California Private Practice Special Interest Group. Membership in these organizations helps us network with clinicians to make certain we are providing the quality care to all of our patients.
  6. Does the therapist have any advanced degrees or certifications?
    We have the following advanced credentials:
    • Doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) - the highest degree available to a physical therapist.
    • Orthopedic Certified Specialist - less than 5% of all physical therapists are certified specialists.

  7. Is the therapist willing to refer out if I don't experience results within a few visits?
    We know our expertise and strongly believe in an interdisciplinary approach. If you do not make timely progress with our treatment, we will communicate this to your physician and work with him/her to find you appropriate treatment.
  8. How are you different than a chiropractor?
    • Individualized treatment programs based on the best current medical evidence. Chiropractors typically provide the same care (spinal adjustments) for most or all conditions.
    • We do not believe in the "lifetime" patient. We do believe in empowering our patients with current and accurate information. That's one of the reasons we have the medical library available to you.

    In California, it is mandatory that physical therapists participate in continuing education. We go beyond the requirement, and regularly participate in continuing education to advance our knowledge.
